Anybody get the itch to take out some post season deer huntin blues on the tree rats?

With the lack of snow the squrrels should be roamin around outside a while longer, a great way to post season scout too.

U guys like hunting those little fellows. Try this with your kids it is a riot. Get some peanut in a shell. Tie them to end of your fishin rod and send it out. Cast it. Those guys go nuts tryin to get the peanut while you are reeling them in. The red squirels never give up. Give it a try .

Another little trick, is if they won't come around from the back side of the tree, throw your hat in that direction, and they'll move to your side, for a shot.

.22 cal. solid bullets, not hollow points.(Ouch!)

Then use Shake-n-Bake, right into the oven.

I sit in the blind with the old browning heat bow and the 870...just a great way to have some fun and stay sharp with the muzzys ;)
