finger lakes

I just sold my boat I fished lak O with and now I only have my 17' fisher left I would like to try and fish some of the finger lakes this winter with it the only gear I have is everything I would use out on the big lake would I use the same gear in the finger lake? also is my 8'6 med action down rigger rods toO heavyZ? also what size line do u guys run on your rods?

You can run all the same gear just run 8 to 10 lb floro for leads with spoons or cranks. With your flasher and flies run them the same as Ontario. The water is clear so light leaders and small snaps/swivels is a must.
