fished the south end of cayuga on sat. with charlie(fish buzzard)aboard the blue bubble . about 3:00 something caught my eye on a planner board. fisrt thought was "it's just the waves" then i saw it again, then again. i told charlie "i think a fish just hit the planner" we both watched as it hit it again,then again!! we laughed it off as a really stupid fish, 30 seconds later the reel starts sceamming line out. charlie grabs the rod and the fight is on. 10-15 min. later the fish hits the deck. 37 in. northern. 11-12 lbs. this fish took a 1 1/2" crank bait on 8 lb. line flat lining in 12 ft. of water for browns. we also did a 25 in. L.L, 3 smaller L.L. and another smaller northern.
