Oh, we had a fun time. No one else in the lot, but us. We did see a smaller boat out later in the day.

Ice is well past the Ferry line, though not as thick as one would expect. Maybe 1/2 inch to 1 inch. It makes a really wicked sound when the boat wake hits it. It was deteriorating quickly throughout the day, and would be getting poorer as the week went on.

Launch was very nice, and even though the wind was pushing good, got the big starcraft on the trailer in one swipe. Thought the water at the ramp was thinner than I liked, but still launchable. We brought some salt to make sure the slippage was kept to a miminum. But no worries at all.

We went 14 for 15, with one larger pike. A couple of smaller fish were kept, along with the pike (I like pike!). The rest were all released. We had 1-11.15lb, 1-11.6, a couple of 10.5 +, plenty of 7, 8, 9. Two 5lb bleeders were kept. I will have to get some pics up later.

All on deep diving cranks. Clown was a very popular color due to all the sun.

Thanks for sharing your fishing info. were you seeing many fish up higher in the water column??? They must still be there and on the bite.

What a tremendouse natural resource to have so close to home. Coming from the midwest a few years ago, I used to dream about fishing quinte. Even my old walleye insiders from the 8's mentioned it.
