My neice wants to take the safety course next month with her friend, but she does not turn 12 until April. Can she do that?

Yes she can. I was told this fall that as long as they can comprehend the subject matter and pass the course they may take the course. The instructors may not let her shoot a gun unless a parent or guardian is present on the day they shoot however. It was great to see several young girls taking the course when my boy took it this fall.

yep, on there 11 th b- day they can take it but still cant even purchase there tag till 12
