i have a nice baitcaster that i bought the other day and want to set it up for smallies, so i was wondering what the best line is that is good and works for everything. i plan on using this for everything but topwater, its a 6.3:1 ratio and 7' long. i was thinking 10 pound fluro. just wanted some other opinions. thanks, Codie

I don't like fluro as a main line. It has way to much memory and it's expensive. I like Berkley xt and use fluro as my leader.

If you are using it mostly for jigging , Go braid /floro leader.. If Cranks & spinnerbaits , a low stretch mono. 10-12 lb.
