Swivels and spoons!

anyone know of some good swivels they could recommend, and when fishing spoons do you attach your swivels directly to the spoon or from main line to leader?

Definatley use a snap swivel with a spoon.

Otherwise your line will twist up like crazy.

Tie the snap swivel to the end of your line and connect the spoon to the snap swivel.

I don't use a leader unless I am running heavy line.

Then I will attach the leader to the main line using a small barrel swivel and tie the snap swivel to the end of the leader.

Spro makes a good one with the cross lock type snap. You don't want the ones with the brass plate on them.

Yeah I need some new ones for sure. I'm thinking ball bearing, because so far I've only used standard swivels with no success.

I like sampo swivels too. Use the smallest size you can get away with. Depending on the lb test line I am using determines if I use a leader or not. 17lb test I don't use leaders. 30lb test and I use a 20lb flurocarbon leader.. around 8 foot.
