Twili tip with mono?

Can you run mono through a twili tip without damaging it? I know they are meant for wire, but I am going to have four of my rods set up with twili tips to run wire and still want to use those rods for flat lining, boards, or mono dipsy by switching reels when I am not running wire.

not a good idea the twili will cut mono and power pro. the end of the tip has a sharp edge fine for wire but nothing else.

I have run dipsy rigs with 50lb power pro with Twili tips for a couple of seasons now with great results. How ever I have never ran mono with twili tips so i can not comment on that.

I had run PP thru those for several seasons, without issues.

No nothing on mono thru 'em.
