Rochester shore fishing

Since the boat is dead right now :x and I do not know anyone who needs a rookie out on the lake, can anyone tell me a good spot to possibly catch a salmon or one of those big browns from shore near Rochester (and what bait to try).

Gambler advised in the spring that the Rochester Pier was pretty good with stickbaits for brownies, is that still true, or am I SOL??

Fireplug...FWIW.....with the cold water up-welling....we have right now...the Summerville pier would be good. Today...At The Oak reported kings rolling all over the inshore waters at oak orchard....so you can fish those piers...but it's 40 minutes west down the parkway.
