Fished Seneca today with a bunch of guys. Ran boards in the morning but couldnt keep the weeds or the northerns off so I went out a little deeper to look for some Lake Trout. Found them in 35' to 50' and it was non stop all day. Didnt catch one under 3lbs. All very healthy fish. Decided to keep a box full so the guys could smoke em' Ended up with probably around 30 lakers boated and lost a bunch. A couple smaller browns on the rigger. Man do these fish fight on the copper! they just dont stop.

mud chickens are highly underrated as food sources go! Good baked and fried all winter long and grilled w/ Mojito sauce in the summer (and let's not forget some smoked fillets and sour cream w/ beer out on on the pool deck) -Andy

chowder - You got that right! Very underrated as a food source. I rather eat a laker than a Brown (sewer trout) any day! plus whoever says Lakers dont fight hard must not have caught many, especially this time of year!
