The creeks are always empty by this time of year now. We need to open the fingerlakes streams just like the Ontario tribs: all year one fish.

You wouldnt have a Bow or Salmon left in the Seneca tribs with all the fish that lay in the two inches of water all winter.

Actually would love to see them close all the feeder streams to the main tribs and put crossing areas in the tribs.. If we want our kids and generations to come to see any fish in the future we need to step up and do something now.... I know its alot easier said then done but it would be great if we could come up with something ..

Catch and release during the spawning period would result in some percentage of the rainbows dying. These fish are stressed during spawing and especially vulnerable then. Better to leave them alone- the resource is under enough pressure as it is.
