whew sometimes its good to be home 1 week of a one sided toster ,broken a/c,almost no hot water,2 tv channels,1 day of no sewer-shower -running water,,hey for 90,00 a day guess im beeing picky,,,,,,fishing was ok for the east end just couldnt get a constant bite 45 for 60 with another dozen good releases,,imshure if i spent more time in the area i could adapt to the changing cond . 1 day 120ft cable out over 450ft for temp two days later were pulling plainers in 25 ft water getting browns like it was may 5 ft down. biggest was 42in male 25.13oz after keeping on ice for 5 hrs im shure we lost a lb or two.E-rabbit showed up at camp and shared his 2 day chile with us,took 2 days to come out thanks bud ill be shure not to cut behind your boat next time i see ya on seneca :$ ,it was typical pack fishing with everyone going in the right direction ,that would be the way there boat was heading regardless if the other guys heading, someone should come up with rules for navagation on the water,i think if we used a pennant system like the pro ams to identify by mentality ,like red for stupid, green for smart ,orange for no stinking clue....ect.talk about a sea of orange,,,,,,,hmmmm if we all carried paintball guns we could mark em on the water,..proper radio use goes out the window also ,sounded like R&R and Liquid plummer were playing marco polo, but it was good to hear some board names and they shared a (little info).but that old fart who was acting like a spoiled kid hollering TALLY HO,for every fish was a little annoying, but he kept us awake with his hourly calls, dont know if he was catching fish, had another succesful bowel movement,or was getting lucky in the cabin ,must of had viagra for the last..well i also had HARRINGTON jr on board i must interpet the meaning of the word straight wrong! Then there was sunday ,anyone who fished the sodus pro can judge my accuracy to wave hight i would give day 2 close to 5ftrs with a 6ftr thrown in well it was 6 to 8 ftrs to start with with white caps on top it changed to 8-10ftrs with a 12ftr thrown in ,i can say i broke my stupity level for bumpy water ,the guy going by us on a surfboard hollaring dude thats my wave convinced me it was time to go to port ,and one of the guys reciting the Hail Marys Full Of Grace was getting louder than the wind,BUT HEY THATS FISHING........Ray K.

Ray,

Great report!! I know what you mean about the traffic and intelligence levels. It does get crazy out there. We are headed up for a Thursday - Saturday stint so we are going to get into that mix shortly.

Again, thanks for the humor - most of it is true!!

Ray it was nice meeting you and your crew ( poor guys how do they do it). You left just in time the DEC and Sheriff showed up checking boats. The DEC was looking for some type of illegal gaseous fish attractant being used. Then the Sheriff was looking for guys mooning other boats what was that all about. I ran into about 6 boats out there that thought they had a RED light on each side of there boat and my were color blind when they looked at my boat only seeing green.......

We picked up a total of 11 with the break down being 1steelhead 2 Coho's and 8 kings lost 4 from my bad knots and one major from bad/to much drag . Ran all meat rigs with twinkie-rigs white glow with white head had the most hits green glow with green head was next and was run deepest. 50' , 60' down was good early then running one at 80' or so the rest of the day would pick some up. All of our fish were east of the plant in 85 to 105 FOW. Peole were and are picking them up in 55' to 80' range using fly's but my meat rigs would not trip these fish.

Just got back from our two weeks stint at selkirk shores. Lost the clutch on my pickup the second day . A friend loaned us a truck for the rest of the trip. That saved the trip!! Lost the coupler on the last day just before we were going to quit for the day. Will pick one up at NAPA next week. Our best was the chrome E-chip with a hammer or a mirage fly either off the wire dipsie or the rigger. One of the mirage flies was a mag 6" That took a lot of fish. There were no numbers to give because they changed day by day. Our best was 27.2# , got lots of nice Coho's this year. The last couple of days we got fish 65 to70' down tight to the bottom. Thats where the temp break hit bottom. You would mark fish on the bottom and once in awhile a rod would go off!. New truck and a new coupler and I will be good to go
