Downrigger question

I am going to upgrade my downriggers this year from my Walker's to a set of Cannon 10a downriggers but they only have about a one foot maybe 18inch boom on them.

Can I buy the telescopic booms that extend out to 52 inches and swap them out?

Got hooked on the kings last year and I was thinking about running 4 downriggers with the Cannon's off the side and the Walker's straight off of the stern. Or I might just use the Cannon's and get rid of the Walker's if I can get the extended booms on them.
