Dipsy trip poundage

Everything is ready and looking for finishing touches. How do you guys set your dipsy's? I have all mine (mag dipsys) set at 10 pounds on a slow pull measured on a hand scale. Anyone else have any suggestions lighter/heavier. Mostly pull flashers and flies.

the lighter the better

Trial and error at the side of the boat. You want it to pull , but still able to trip it with out breaking the rod or line. And you don't want it to trip with the boat action in the waves.

I set mine at 6 lb, no false releases.
