I am getting alot of noise on my lowrance from my minn kota. I have two batteries I run the lowrance and minn kota to the same battery so I dont run down the cranking battery. Thoughts on how to fix. Are there any solutions other than rewiring to the main starting battery?

Rewire to the main battery. This is the standard setup, as your issue is normal. The sonar doesn't use much juice and the motor will charge it while running. For piece of mind most sonars will allow you to set a low voltage alarm to save you from getting too low...that said, mine has never gone off.

i agree combine fish finder with main engine battery while turning on the alarm for low voltage on the lowarnce. this noise you speak of come from the trolling motor turning on and off. i USED to have my fish finder and trolling batteries hooked together. and that showed a spike on the graph-most of time a fish-when the trolling motor turned on/off.

Nope as long as your battery is in good shape. If it was a common issue someone would have designed a solution already, so don't sweat it
