Gulp makes a cut bait and I'm curious if anyone's tried using it ?? I picked up three flavors a couple weeks back at Gander Mountain but have yet to try it. It looks the part & smells fishy without even opening it up, so I can imagine the stink once I open the pack. How does it stack up against the real thing?? I thought it may be a viable alternative since I hear the new cut bait is real soft.

Anyone have any reviews to share??

Thanks,

Rod K

I heard stories fron some Lake Michigan fishermen that tried it. They said that they had some success and that it might have its day, but that it would not replace the real thing in their book.

This said I was going to try it as well if I was unable to get some of the real stuff.

Today I'm sitting on the beach, here in Seward AK and the shelves on the store have Gulp sardines as well as frozen bait. The frozen bait sells better. A lot of the boats here anchor up in 120 feet of water and drop chunks and whole herring on hook about 40 feet down and have excellent results on the Silvers, coho salmon.
