I don't know that that is a fair and accurate statement.

Beckman makes a good net for sure, but to say that they are the ONLY ones to make a good landing net is utterly ludicrous.

I just got a Beckman from Larry's LOU deal, but I also have a Cummings net that is great and the long handled Ranger I had before that was 15+ year old and was awesome until some dirtbag stole it off my boat.

Honestly, I like the new Beckman, but one complaint I DO have on it is the smooth round handle. It will make extending the handle tricky in the heat of battle with keeping the push pin lined up with the hole. That's not a problem with the octagonal handles on the other nets.

i have a ranger and it does the job. it is 6 or 7 years old and going strong. I also have a rubber net for smallmouths and walleye. i think a rubber net big enough for salmon would weigh to much

I have a Beckman for kings and a smaller Ranger that I modified the handle on. Took a ex-tenable boat hook drilled out the hook and put the net set in JB weld in it's place. Love having 12' of handle to slip under those soft mouth Browns

Lund SSS, that's an awesome idea. I love JB weld.

I've got a ranger net on the boat, great net, very durable, and a good price.

I bought mine last year in a pinch at Dick's, after the top half of my old POS Frabill net came off, and sank to the bottom.

The Ranger nets are great too, I just haven't bought one of those yet.

I think rubber net is good... And it will last long also..It has durability and flexibility..Beckman makes a good net for sure, but to say that they are the ONLY ones to make a good landing net is utterly ludicrous...

I couldn't :D Now that I've had a chance to use it, I'm thrilled. Very well made and just what I needed to keep me in the boat, not hanging over the well in back.
