while fishing this past week; my one wire dipsy set up using Daiwa SG47LC had the ceramic guide come loose while a big king was taking line. ...

it's the level wind area where the wire feeds through the ceramic insert...it popped out and the line started cutting through the plastic!........anyway no major damage was done and I Krazy glued the guide back in......has anyone had this problem?

I have never had that problem. If you need parts, call Diawa. They will send you new parts for free most of the time.

Yes, I've had it happen on a couple 27"s and 47's. Just glue them back in place and forget about them.

I put hundreds of hours per year on these reels on lake Erie and they hold up very well.

motocross,

The best way to stop having problems with them is throw them over board. I have two rod reel combo's I would not sell to fishstix they are so bad. :D First the Eye's fall out. Then to really get your heart working, they some times as you reel in a fish, the drag tighten up all by itself    .

I have heard guys say they love them but the two I got are f----n junk. Old a year old if anyone whats them.

Ditto on the superglue. Other than some click springs and new click pawls (which are cheap to replace) they have been very dependable.
