At one time torpedo had 7 strand that was not bad price. I would go with 30lb test. WE don't catch 30 fish in the finger lakes but you stand a better chance if you get into a big pod of weeds. We had weed pods as big as a house last year.

they (Torpedo) advertise that the 19 strand is easier to handle ... well I have no idea if that is true, so what do you folks who do know have to say about that. 7 strand or 19 strand ?
