Last year I had a 40 horse and with that motor I was able to pull in foreward or back in which is what I always did unless I planned on leaving again soon. With a 50 horse merc that is only about a inch or less longer on my boat now, I broke my skeg the first time I pulled in foreward as it hit the road just barely. Most of the skeg broke off and I was worried how it would affect performance. Luckily it didn't affect performance but I would like to have it for prop protection. Does anyone recommend someone near Hamlin that could fix this?

Aztec manufacturing in spencerport did a good job welding my boat. Ask for Simon. He would probably it for less than 60.
