Been saving the beer for end of day successes until we get down to ground level. They sure are deserved after 12 -14hrs out in this 90* heat. Makes you appreciate them even more. :beer:

Yep. Ma Kettle has been feeding the crews. 7lb doses of Homemade Sloppy Joes and Dottie Lous BBQ Chicken, and sides. Love thier Chicken, and cole slaw!!

Worked by myself this weekend. putting up 16ft Facia 2x8s and 18fters on the gable rakes. Used deadman jigs and helper blocks.

Finally started roofing. I chose to put this microfoil anti condensation material down that takes longer to put down than the steel and makes the job more dangerous. Sure hope it works.

18ft sheets are alittle tough alone. The wind needs to be in your favor.

Thanks Ray. Bazooka! I got a few stories of my own as well. Will be in FairHavnen 25Aug thru Labor Day regardless of barn status. Will see you there. How long will you be there?

I don't have any plans to stay there. But I only live 35 mins from there. Let's hook up and do some fishing! Im going up to saranac lake day before labor day. But can fish the 26th or the 30th.

I wasn't using shiething under the metal. I used it as a working platform next to the roofing area. The sheithing had 2 x 4 cleats nailed to the underside in the appropriate spot to keep it from sliding down over the purlins. It also had cleats on top to catch tools. It had strap handles so you could slide it across the roof easily.
