Who's going out today after all that North wind? I was thinking of going out of Olcott this afternoon since the Lake is forecast to have 1-2 ft waves by then. Any opinions on what happens to the fishing after a strong Nor'Easter like that?

Depending on how it calms down time wise you might get out this afternoon. Its crankin right now at Fair Haven. I think tomorrow 6am is the best timing. Waves will be down then and its probably stirred up enough.

Thursday is the window because Friday she goes right back up again...

have fun

It looks like it calms down Friday night so Saturday could be fishable. I just went outside the wind almost blew me over lol..

Saturday might be a bust. I just looked at the forecast and 2-3'ers. A few of my buddies and I are hoping to get out of Sodus on Sat. but we might not be fishing at all this weekend.

Now is the time to be out there. Calm before the rain. They were fired up last night. We had 4 hits within 10 min right at the end. Landed 2, lost one, and one broke off on a dipsey. Trying to convince the Mrs. to go out with me after the kids get on the bus.

I try that all the time but my wife hates trolling. She loves perch jerkin and bass fishing but no trolling for her.

My wife enjoys it so far (one trip) She needs practice steering the boat though. Last time out, she had surgery a few days prior and couldn't fight any fish, but she enjoyed watching me and the kids. She's anxious to feel the fight of a King.

It's funny because she said unless she can sit there and sun bath while fishing then she doesn't want to go. She is what her father and I call a fair weather hunter/fishermen. She won't hunt or fish if its below 40* haha. Me on the other hand I hunt and fish whenever possible.
