SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

First time out this season with the big boat. Started in shallow working the browns...many nice average size then decided to work our way out. Ended up with a nice array of fish but no kings. We had 3 big Lakers, 3 Coho and the remainder being Browns. Great day on the water!

Glad 2 here you caught a few cohos. We caught a few small browns in ten fow between the state park and Sandy & had one screamer we never got a look at - all spoons. Boat issues kept us shallow.

The pic looks like it was on my boat?? :o:lol: Tank

Didn't want to put that info up there without your permission since it is your boat. Great day. Learned new stuff and great conversation. Hope the family is better. THANKS AGAIN!!! What a GREAT day :handshake::clap:

Im heading up this weekend to fish for browns for the first time. Are the browns still in shallow or did they move out and if you dont mind can you point me in the right dirction on where to start fishing at.

Depends on a number of things. Water clarity, where the mud line is, water temp, runoff. They have been fluctuating in depth but when we went last weekend we had great hits from surface to 12 foot(?). We went out of Sandy Creek but my usual is out of Irondequoit Bay. Out of Irondequoit Bay head East in water depth of 0-16 foot. If the conditions aren't right you might need to go out a little deeper to find them, say 40 foot D.O.W. Good luck.

Sorry - we're referring to Sandy Creek on the west side in Hamlin NY. NyGregg and I are both in Irondequoit, on the east side of Rochester. Sandy Creek on the east side of the lake is more like Oswego / Mexico Bay.

Sorry, when you said you're heading up this weekend, did you have a location in mind? You wouldn't go by "Wing", would you?

ill was planning on fishing in mexico. I have fished mexico for bass in the past and i fish henderson and sackets a couple times a year for perch in september. But I was planning on fishing mexico.

Now I understand. We were talking about a spot about four hours to the west of there. You'll want to look at the reports for Oswego, Mexico Bay and Henderson. The good news is the fishing for them has been very good - good luck
