New and need suggestions for Oswego Harborfest

Hey,

I am new to this forum, but not to fishing on the great lakes. I grew up in Traverse City, MI and fished as a mate and captain, once I was old enough, on a boat called the Big Kahuna. After college I moved to northern New Hampshire. Now I am itching to get back out on the lake!!!

I have talked my girlfriend into visiting Oswego during Harborfest. We are looking for some recommendations from the locals.

1. Where is the best place to stay? I bet a lot of lodging gets used during Harborfest and we are trying to make reservations before its all gone. We are open to anything from camping to a hotel.

2. Fishing? Of course getting out on the lake is a priority for this trip. Charter recommendations? What should we expect that time of year?

3. Any other area attractions we should check out?

Get a hotel room within walking distance from harbor fest. Also get a room ASAP! They go quite.
