Skaneateles fishing this weekend

Headed to Skinny this weekend to do some fishing with the kids. Wondering if anyone can give some advice where to try for perch ? Also not sure if there are any pike in skinny.

No pike. I would try 20 to 40 ft. On West side. Of course south end from the drop off to about10 ft always produced for me in the past. Good luck hope you get the kids onto some fish.

We used fatheads in the south....with no luck.

Although we did land a pike in 6 fow on a fire tiger rattle trap. So we didn't get skunked and the kids had a great time.

Howdy all,

Grandpafishon and I fished some of the west shoreline on sat morning. We used green tube jigs in 3-20 feet of water. Got some nice smallmouths,lakers,a fat perch and a rock bass. About 9:30 the wind went dead calm and the sun was out in full force so the bite died.

There was only one dock in still, and only three pieces of the other side were stacked at the bottom. You really need patients to launch at that site.
