Recently came across some older (late 90s) NKs and Suttons. The tape job on them either isn't that great or its starting to peel. Is there a better way to remove it other than scratching it up?

Craft stores have a sticker removal product called "Un-Do". It's good stuff. Will disolve the old glue & will not touch the paint job.

Goof- Off or WD 40 for tape, I use paint stripper for Clear coat or other paint. Shine Silver w/ car polish& buff w/ cloth & elbow grease , wipe w/ thinner ,then clear coat , or spaypaint ,then clear. Make sure paint & clear is compatible or it will alligator. I have redone some of my spoons & ones I pick up at yard sales many times. Hit some homeruns & have had some duds. All part of the fun.
