fishfinder bad??????

my 3 year old lowrance x135 isnt picking up my downriggers anymore...... and it seems as though i get deeper than 100 fow i am starting to mark much less ..........maybe i have to position the transducer at a diffrent angle?........ or is it possible that my transducer could be bad already???...........i have tried my gain at multiple settings and 100 percent only picks up my 25 foot rigger sporaticlly..........i use to be able to see the fish come up to my riggers and then shoot back down....but not anymore......any thoughts guys??????............thanks and tight lines and drags screammmmmmmming

just replaced the transducer on my LCX25....had similar troubles as you are saying.....new ducer cleared it right up

The Lowrance transducers don't last that long. I've replaced quite a few of them. The word is: get an Airmar tranducer for it. They are a little more money but work much better and last much longer.

try gander mtn if there is one near you...they have small supply of lowrance stuff if not there....turtlemarine.com

lowrance customer service sucks you might not even get an answer by next wknd
