SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

====================

Second trip out of the Bay and was not too excited with all the "transition" talk lately. We decided to fish off shore today with a mixed program from surface to deep lures. Had a decent morning all things considered. The day started off pretty cool with a swall doe swimming across the I-Bay channel. She swam directly in front of us from west to east and then decided to run around Oklahoma beach for awhile.

Fished 250-450' and the 280-350' window seemed best . Had 42 degrees down temp with 115' of cable out, I would guess it was down about 85' or so but my FF isn't picking up my lines this year for some reason. Mostly a king bite, but we also took our first steelhead of the year and a nice 12-13# laker with absolutely gorgeous red/orange on her fins. We also kept a coho for the grill.

The following took fish:

surface planer - 5/8 ounce keel weight, 30#; Ruby Red spoon

10 color core fished with an NBK stinger took two

riggers - 115' down 42 sec Nk spoon took one; free slider on the 65' rigger took one on Dirty White Boy

600' copper took two pulling a Gator SD/ Mirage Fly

Wire Dipsies at all depths failed to take a hit (cut bait, HawgWild, 42 sec, green dot all failed)

Good luck to all,

- Chris

Thanks for the great report. Did somebody forgot to bring the bow for the wet deer?

Tight lines.
