son number four caught this bowfin at sodus tonight off the dock on a crab.

Wow...That's a BIG bowfin!! Do U know the NYS record is 12lbs. 14 ozs? That fish looks awfully close to that size..... World record is 21+.....

That is a big one. They sure put up a good battle. I often think I'm tangling with a big walleye on when I hook one. They are one of those Rodger Dangerfield fish that gets no respect

folks new to the area should know that when upstaters say "crab' they are referring to a crawfish, not a real crab!
