Have the gear and the boat but since im brand new to the henderson/stony point area i think its best to hire a charter to go out and learn the area on?any suggestions in the henderson harbor area?

Every captain does things a little different. My opinion, take a couple trips with a coulple captains. You will learn a lot of little things that you would over look from each one. Not the cheapest route but you can learn a lot.

Some captains are available for hire that come to ur boat. The concept is the same anywhere on the lake like someone said above every captains technique is different. Also you can post on share a ride and there are a great bunch of guys who know there stuff that would jump on your boat and give you some of their tricks.

Ya know now that the hair is slippin from my head, the oll back is creakin, ect, ect I was thinkin bout offerin my services helpin new guys get their feet wet..maybe gas money and 1 or 2 fish for pay...on yer boat of course...

Boy I would think about taking Ray up on his offer. He will get you new ride all bloody and slimley :o , and it will smell like fish!!! :lol:8)

Capt. Scott Lennox of Pole Postion charters, or Capt. Bob Dick of Moby Dick Charters are 2 of the finest in that area. Lots of structure in that area, I fished that area for 20 plus years, my suggestion is to keep a log, be as accurate as you can. I have my logs from that area, and bet I can go back to those same spots and the fish will be there. Good Luck.

I dont think there are tournies where he is going to learn that area.
