I counted 10 boats 180 to 220 fow nw of port - so we went northeast and set up @ 250. Found nothing 250 - 290. Marked bait at 55 on way out so trolled back there, coming in NE of North Ave. Tagged fish trolling west btwn East & Cowsucker Creeks on flatlined white stick out 150, green dot spin doctor w green fly down 25 & wire diver w echip flasher & green fly out 60 ft on 3 setting. All bait and marks around 55 fow. The fleas are here, the flies were better.

Thanks. Sounded like a light catch for the group but was happy to head away from the crowd and still find a few. Kayak tomorrow - not sure where yet.

It was good to meet you at the dock yesterday. I had a slow day fishing but you can't beat the weather that we had!

Definitely fleas - greenish polka-dot eyeball fluff bad enough to lock up one of the poles. Must have run through a patch of them since the other poles weren't as bad. The weeds mats are pretty bad too; one half the size of our boat almost took out our starboard rigger.

Mort and Tom,

Are you sure they were fleas............the cotton wood was real bad on the calm lake today!!!! :$

AND Nice Fish!!!

The question was actually for Tom's benefit................he is having problems with his dichotomous key!

Tom, think back ....did it have a spine?....did it smell like bad fish?....if it did not have a spine, was it plant, or invertibrate animal

Good looking fish...I don't see any flies
