$1,600 in downriggers, 4 rods at $500, 2 dipsy rods with TightLock holders $400, $2000 in lures, fishfinder, GPS etc., etc., the list goes on and on. Oh, and you have to add in years and years of experience.

Now take 1 six and a half year old Grandson, a $14 Zebco youth rod, a #6 EagleClaw snelled single hook, add 2 splitshot and a dead sawbelly. Now drag it 20 feet behind the boat and "just hold it till one bites".

Wait 5-6 minutes and the result...PRICELESS...Just look at that grin!

Great times, and he's lucky to have a Grandpa to take him fishing.

My grandson was here over the weekend, he's only 11 months but will be a fisherman by the time he's 5!

Very cool. He'll remember that a long long time.

My grandfather gave me my first taste of fishing way back. Got me into my first "big" fish, which we thought was a medium sized pickerel or something but it wrapped around weeds and I eventually had to break it off. Still remember the excitement even 25 years later. Wish I could have fished with him more, nobody else in my family has the bug. Thanks Pop.
