I fish for: muskies and occasionally salmon

==================

Hey guys. I just found this site the other day and recognize some of the guys using the muskie forum. I live near Pittsburgh, PA and I'm an avid muskie fisherman. I fish PA and OH in the spring, spend a week on LSC in June every year, and then I fish Chautauqua. I also usually make a fall trip to the St Lawrence or the Georgian Bay. Sometimes I will make a few trips to fish for kings out of Olcott and Oak Orchard in July/August...I really enjoy that also.

This seems like a pretty good, active forum. Look forward to meeting a few new people and contribute where I can.

Welcome to the site Adam. Don't know what that funny looking thing is in the first picture, but definitely like the second.

Thanks Tom. I'm much better and experienced with catching muskies than kings, but I like trolling big water and the kings sure are fun.

Ivan welcome to the greatest fishing site in the world. If you have a question about trolling just ask. You will get responses from chater captains and guys that are just as good or better.

Thanks poverty. There are so many variables to salmon fishing with line lengths, down speed and temp, etc. We've got them dragging balls on the bottom in 110' of water and up high over 500' of water. I think that's part of what makes it so fun and challenging. Plus the fish can just flat out scream a reel like nothing else in fresh water. I hope I can make trip up to the big lake this year and get some good advice to keep honing my skills. I just don't get to do it enough to learn enough on my own.

If you want a crash coarse you should check out share a ride or take a charter in the port you plan to fish. Do research on the fishing forum everyone lets you know what they are using, depth of water, and location of their dipsy, downriggers, copper ect. See what others are doing and give it a try. Nothing beats a big screaming king
