Loran King 8002

Anyone have any information on a Loran King 8002. I bought a used boat with one on it. I don't have a clue have to operate or navagate with the unit. Any help would be appreciated.

The good news is that the King unit is a great unit.......

The bad news is that I think they stopped transmitting loran signals (radio) about two years ago........

I have a old eagle with a loran,. they shut down the towers a while ago. .

Whether King is still in business or not----without LORAN towers your LORAN is useless.

Capt. Paul, you are correct.... as I recall, the old unit I used was an 8008, not 8002. The 8008 had a nice CRT fish finder as well as Loran..... thinking he could still use the FF part.
