No need. Just use a good barrel swivel. Might put a clear coat over the painted sides as the paint doesn't hold up to long

hey guys i use stingers alot and i found that by heating up my oven to 150 degrees and shutting it of throw the spoons in there and ive had god luck with the paint just my 2 cents

I agree with Capt. Carl, no split ring, just small high quality snap swivel. 

 

As for the paint, seems to be worse on certain patterns, and on other patterns it's just fine.  I might have to try those suggested tricks to help out with that.

I have hundreds of stingers and every year I have to replace dozens do to poor paint but only on certain colors some times the paint wears off before I even catch a fish. It must be water soluable paint just like the paint my kids use to paint by numbers lol. Up for a good fix

if you buy an NK in a store they come with a ring, so I would put a ring on if they don't have it.

Yup, I do the same thing when I buy NK blanks.
