Take the boat! Formthe sounds of it if you head offshore the 2yr olds and steel are still active. If the weather is bad then you can troll the river for the matures.

I have no idea i havent ben out in weeks. I would start around 3 and work out to 5. Im not guarantee'n anything, but if you find them you can load the boat. At the oak just a few days ago they were smacking them out at the 29-30N line. I would start at the 27 and work out.

What port you fishin? I'd base my decision on the wind forecast. If you can get out deeper, take the boat and you should be able to have some fun. We got into them for a short bit last weekend before the wind blew in front of the nuke plant in 135 fow.....only two or three other boats within eyesight. I would have gone deeper but there was a small craft advisory at the time

I go out of the Salmon River. The boat is 18' 4-5 footers is not a problem, but I perfer less. I fished the lake last weekend from the the river to 80 fow with nothing!. I was thinking of heading out to the plant Sun, so far the winds look like 5mph out of the east.
