Finally broke that 5lb barrier!

took 36 years and FINALLY got a wall hanger! 5lbs 9oz on the digital and now in my freezer awaiting transport to the right taxidermist. I release ALL of my bass, but sorry, not this one. caught on a blue j-11 rapala jointed cranked slow near the top at 6:30am yesterday morning(4th of july). was a great topwater morning with buzzbaits and j-9's.

You think its tail looks like that from using it to make the nest? I just figured it had an accident years ago and lost a small bit. Body on it was perfect otherwise and dark from being out in the sun a lot.
