Butterfield Lake

Hit Butterfield Lake early this morning trying to catch a surface bite. I caught a few on aHorny Toad and Pop R ( two nice fish) but the bite was slow. I then moved off the deep weed edge and did much better. Ended up catching around 15-20 bass. I also gave the pan fish a try but didn't have much success with them.

I reversed ya on Butterfield today. I got skunked on bass but found piles of gills and Sunnies. One right after another, there were literally hundreds of them. Couldn't get one hit from a bass though...Tried topwater, spinnerbait, Dives-to 6 and 10, Jigworm and Jig/Craw. Zippo. What was the average size of your bass?

Most were in the 12-15" range.
