....Like jdm130 said.....Why have all of the diversity in one place? Tis what makes fishing in this state ssswweeeeet....! Go here, go there, great fishing just about every where!! :yes:

I was speaking with an older Great Lakes biologist one time, listening would be a better way to put it. And he told me back in the 1960s when they were attempting to find a fish to reduce the alewives in the Great Lakes striped bass were on the list but the decision was made to go with the pacific salmon instead. I am afraid if I tried to explain the reasoning I would mess it up.

your all over looking one thing hybrid stripers do not spawn they go through the ritual but it doesnt happen I live by lake wallenpalpac stripers were stocked in the 80s and 90s the hybrids and the real stripers for that matter do not spawn now im not sure but I dont think they would spawn in ontario because of the fresh water the salmon replenish them selfs once the stipers r caught they won replenish them selfs
