Going deep - is glow a must?

Once you get down to 80' or so I imagine there isn't much light- do you guys all use glow or can the fish see down that deep? Thanks for this site I have been learning lots from it and putting some nice salmon in the boat and BBQ!

Not essential but recomended. Mid-day a silver finish spoon does not need any glow. Good rule is use glow with overcast days or low light situations. It comes down to the simple premise of can the fish see your bait? When in doubt, pull the glow out.

Fish hear/feel also. In addition Salmon have a tremendous sense of smell.

Get some BFuller spoons they work great for us fishing 80 + down !
