Think it could be oil from where the DEC was drilling in the old wegmans plaza and they just aren't telling the public?? Funny how this has become an issue after the DEC was finished with their project...

They have been finding e-coli in the sand on Lake Erie beaches. Unusually warm summer. I took my new puppy down to Wilson State Park to teach the dog to swim, but the beach was rolling with green slim (looked like 1985). Bad year for beaches.

Basspro, I never knew the DEC to be drilling in the old Wegmans parking lot. When was that? I know a company has been cleaning up contamination in the parking lot and they are being held to the DEC regulations...

Oh I thought it was a combination of both? I saw a DEC sign up on one of the fences at one point early on....either way, could the contamination have come from their clean up?
