The coast guard auxillary site provides you with safety courses as well as finding you a

site to have your vessel inspected, both are very good ideas but you are the best investment

in the safety of your boat so take the courses, you'll be glad you did.

N.Y. boating regs supersedes COAST GUARD REGS and they are not the same.
