I heard this is the first year NY will allow crossbows for deer hunting. Not sure whether its true or not, but figured you guys would know.

Crossbows were leagal last year as they are again this year, the catch is they are only good during Reg Gun Season and muzzle loading seasons. People that purchased last year did so for a number of reasons, were fairly close to houses but with in law and not wanting to make load noises, being able to say they took a deer with a cross bow, etc.. We have 14 differant models in teh store now from 220fps up to 400fps.

I have a buddy with a few different models and he prefers them to his compound, having taken a number of Canadian bear with them. His eyesight isn't the best so being able to use a scope helps.
