some action with mr crappie yesterday on the seneca river.nothing special but caught around 40 kept 20.all on fat heads in 10 fow.suspended between 5-7 fow.now im torn between ice or no ice.this global warmin stuff is amazin.suppose this also happened in 1938 or somethin.i just hope this isnt a trend.and so long 4 now

Thanks for the report. I have just decided recently that Crappie were going to be the species that I primarily target for '07 (outside of Walleye of course). I've never exclusively targeted them before so I'm looking forward to the challenge. I know Honeoye has a decent population as does Chataqua but that's a bit too far for me. I've never fished the Seneca River. Any other hints on that body or any other Crappie waters from anyone would be much appreciated. Thanks.

BTW-40 doesn't sound that bad to me.

i fish for calico in chautauqa all the time. when you find them they are the best when you cant its frustrating. i have nevr really targerted them anywhere else. im going to target the eyes a little more this year then anything else.
