looking for a few tips on where to find the bass on little soudus and the sorounding area should I stay in the bay and make the run to big sodus blind sodus and port bay as well as oswego

Sodus, Port Bay and Little Sodus (Fair Haven) are similar in the sense you can fish them similarly because of all the cottages which have docks. When the bite is on Port Bay can be a lot of fun because the cottages (and docks) are more condensed. In my opinion, Sodus tends to have a more dynamic fishery because it is so much larger than the other major bays. There are just more places to fish. Don't forget the creek channels, the islands, and the flatts. If you want to tick people off, I've heard people fishing the sailboats in the marinas. Little Sodus also has a lot of fish and docks. Hit those coves on the East side. Blind Sodus should be an afterthought. If you're crazy you could hit East Bay, but the weeds are crazy and the bay is shallow. People also catch pike in Sterling Pond if you have a small boat. For me the deciding factor is often how choppy is the lake and how much gas you want to burn. From Little Sodus: Port Bay is 7 miles west, Sodus is just under 14 miles west, Oswego is maybe 10 miles East. If fishing the docks hit them with senko style worms wacky style or the edge of the weedbeds that are right in front of the docks. Use a spinnerbait when traveling between the docks along the outside of the weedbeds. You can also try a jighead with a twister tail with a colorado spinner attached to the jighead. The best times are the crack of dawn and the evening. You can also try topwater frogs in thick vegetation and don't forget a popper if the topwater bite is on.

Everything tbulhead said is rite on... If it's early spring. like late April or early May, and you are fishing about for anything that hits, the buster largemouths will absolutely tear up the crankbaits. Fat Raps, fished 4 to 10 ft down, Flat Raps near the surface, anything in that type will be readily taken by surprisingly really active largemouths almost anywhere around the bays in 5 to 15 or so fow. It would have to be catch and release for sure. You'll also pick up some nice pike along the way, and if really lucky, maybe an 'eye....Even in cold or inclimate weather, if you can find wind shelter between islands or any lee area.

One last thing to remember is water clarity. Port Bay is often stained like black coffee or as green as the Genesee River. Sodus and Little Sodus is usually clear. Also the smallmouth fishing in Lake Ontario has gone straight down the tubes. A decade ago there would be two dozen boats outside each of those bays fishing for smallmouth. Ever since the goby invasion, the locals don't even bother.
