LOOKING FOR OPINIONS ON RIGGING SPIN DOCTORS

Instructions call for 18" - 36" between S/D and fly. What works best for you? Which S/D action rear hole do you use most often, less action or more action? THANKS!

SD out of the package. Tie the fly around 24" then you have enough to retie the hooks a couple of times before you are too short <17". From my brief experience fishing for salmon, distance behind the flasher is not a limiting factor so estimation and variation is acceptable -- at least to the fish it is!!

How ever long my leader ends up after tying the loop in it (about 20 inches or a couple more)..SWAG estimate..never seen the fish own a ruler Like Carl said enough to retie...when too short, splice on some more with a bloodknot.

Front hole front..fin side rear hole.

Next...thread side on fly out or in...

I put the coast lock on the "more", and measure off 24", so, like has already been said, gives you enough to re-tie, a few times, before your choking down on the fly leader too far.

I also, don't believe we are building a Saturn V Rocket here, we are fishing.

I run mine a little longer than most. I run mine from 24 to 30". I always run mine on the more action side of Spin Doctors.
