Had a great day! Took my nephew and daughter out and we did fairly well in the south end. So great to see their eye's light right up when that pole pops!

The news to share is the Sutton's worked very well. All between 30-60 feet down. Worked the south end all around Wiskey point. Tried to toss the little bows back in but they went belly up and the gulls were after them so we got em' for the freezer :(

Great meeting you FLXtroutman. Thanks for all the tips and discussion.

Here is a pic of my setup. I run two scotty down riggers on each side mounted on a board I attach with two u-bolts on either side. Boat converts from a tub and ski boat to fishing in minutes :)

I also have rod holders on the sides for planer boards or dipseys

Thanks.

My newphew has all the records. My boat's previous record was a 10 pounder but this 12 beat it. One of these days I'll land a big one

Nice set-up !, I was thinking maybe the wife would go out more (sometime) if it was on a pontoon set-up. She handles rough water too I assume ? I saw one of the pontoon companies offered a trailer-able rig (fit on the roads) I contemplated going this route before I bought the deep vee, BUT couldn't find anybody who did this
