I fish the big lake in a not so big boat. A lot of mornings I head out, get through the channel and am welcomed by rougher water than I can handle. My day of fising is over before it even gets started. If that's not bad enough, I've already paid the $10-$15 boat launch/parking fee for nothing.

Does anyone know of a free boat launch on lake Ontario or adjoining bays or inlets in the Ajax to Oshawa area. It doesn't have to be nice, my truck can handle most off road or beach launchs.

Any help would be appreciated, as I get turned away due to weather almost as often as I get to fish.

We have launched at frenchmans bay in the past and it was a free and easy launch
