Spent two afternoons on Lake O and all we got was this…

Did not receive a nice welcome from the Lake O, but then again, we’re newbs. Finally got a big enough boat to go out into the big pond and spent two afternoons washing lures in anywhere from 100 to 220 FOW out of Sodus. All we got was a giant tangle. Feel like I need to run back to Keuka to patch my wounds with some small laker slime!

To boot, on the way back ran into some weeds and after cleaning the prop, noticed the telltale was just trickling. Idled back to the dock and tried to flush out the cooling system, and couldn't tell that it made much of a difference.

Aaaaarrrgghhhhh!!

Current was wicked yesterday out of the Oak. My grandson said we sure had a good day for getting tangles.

Not even! This was between a dipsy set on 0 down the chute about 100ft out and another one on a 3 setting while getting the second one deployed slowly and carefully.

They usually don't run very well on a 0 down the chute. Copper would be a better idea.

Personally I don't like to run anything down the chute. Cuz it will get tangled eventually.

I run a # ball thumper down the chute . short enough to not cause probems when the traffic is heavy. Copper is an invitation to disaster in traffic , all you will do is donate your rig to the fish gods with any kind of long lines .
