SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

====================

Started off east of the mouth around 1/4 mile at 115fow and took a nasty rigger strike 100 down that took us out to 450- got it back to 200 when the line went limp- What a bummer! had trouble finding the fish all day as we would mark a few here and there in the 50 foot range and on bottom. Got out to about 2 miles east when we turned back towards the mouth. Around 630 we took a wire strike on the crazy **** at 225 (1.5 setting) with a jack on the end. Screen went blank so we poked north right out of the mouth and still no real action until 160. At 170 we took a turn back south to start bringing in rigs and we took a 20# king off of the crazy **** again. just after getting the fish on our lip grip and resuscitated we took a hit at 100 on the orange crush again yielding an 18# king. It was pretty much dark after that so we pulled in and called it a night. Would have loved to see what the first fish looked like :@

Still dying to get on the board!!

Had one like that the other day. My guess was the lamprey caused it to be so thin?

We had a steelhead with a big lamprey that fell of in the boat. Fish was really skinny and even seemed pretty pale, might of saved it's life. When I pulled the lamprey off it looked like eggs in the wound, nastiest one I saw yet.
